[Bug-gnuzilla] GNU IceCat and keeping up with patches

Is there a repo or some other resource that can be used to keep IceCat up to date with the rest of a system's packages? Debian unfortunately does not maintain an IceCat package.

Hi Andrew,

GNU Guix is a transitional package manager which is, among others,
available for Debian. IMHO, it's kind of a bother to set up, but once
it runs, you can easily install and upgrade IceCat to the latest
version that's in the Guix repositories (which is usually updated
fairly quickly). You can get GNU Guix from https://gnu.org/s/guix

If you're not really a fan of setting up another package manager on
your system, I'm pretty sure that some Debian-based distributions have
IceCat in their repositories; I believe Trisquel used to package it.
May be worth looking into.
